2 FAST 2 FURIOUS

Hero Eclipse - Main Vehicle Used in Fast and Furious

Hero Eclipse - Main Vehicle Used in Fast and Furious

This vehicle was originally owned by John Lapid. He brought the Eclipse to us to add a Lighting Green Neon to a clear tube that was in the roll cage. John offered the car to us for $24k, we later organized the sale of the Eclipse to George Barris, which we sold for $48k, John was supposed to give us a commission. There are many stories on what happened, but we know the truth.

The Install

The Install

We were asked to complete 42 vehicles with Street Glow neon lights, within 7 days. I (Pierre Hoffmann) then said that I would need the warehouse over night when no one else was working to get them done in time. We got all the vehicles completed in 6 days then was asked to lighting up 5 Dodge Rams.. It was a lot of work, but looking back it was well worth it.

In this shot, you can see the woman in the car is a dummy, not a real stunt driver, since it was a convertible, they had to control the car off the jump by remote control

We had this care for 4 months after Movie opening

We had this vehicle over 4 months helping the owner promoting in Magazines and shows, that is why a lot on photos you will see will have our Autoi.com or Auto Indulgence logo on it. Sad that when we sold the car to George Barris, John Lapid never gave us the credit or the finders fee. Just wish I purchased myself when I had the chance.

PHOTOS BEHIND THE SCENES

When "THe Fast and the Furious" movies started filming in 1998, we were asked to supply the NEON lighting for the cars, we choose Street Glow.  Then when they started to work on the next movie "The Fast and the Furious 2" AKA (2 FAST 2 FURIOUS) we were asked to design and install the lighting to the cars, from not only Universal Pictures, but Street Glow, Inc.  - back when we were know as Auto Indulgence.

Please enjoy the photos...  We have many more to share.
